What services do you provide?

We specialise in webhosting, business mail services, webdesign, design and search engine optimisation. We can provide any of these services to the home user or business client.

What servers do you use?

We custom build our own servers, based usually on AMD Opterons. For more about our network and servers, see our advanced network pages.

Can I upgrade, downgrade or cancel a package?

After the first 30 days of service you can upgrade or downgrade and cancel a package. You can do this by contacting us on the support system by opening a Support Ticket.

Tell me more about your design services?

We are a design and webdesign company, specialising in all kinds of design such as templates, business cards, logos, images, graphics and websites. We are UKWDA registered.

How can I login to my account/control panel?

Please visit our client login area.

Am I protected against spam?

Your mailbox will include powerful spam protection that can be tailored to your requirements.

How can I access my mail?

Either using POP3, IMAP with an e-mail client such as Thunderbird or Outlook, or by visiting our webmail application. We also have Squirrel Mail and Horde.

What happens if I exceed my quota for space/bandwidth?

Your account will display an error, to inform you of the extra bandwidth you have consumed. Please upgrade your account to remove the message. Alternatively contact our support team to negotiate.

How can I add a mailbox to my account?

Login to your control panel >Email > Mailboxes > Create mailbox (you may delete default postmaster)

What are my login details for control panel, ftp and mail?

Control panel, you will need to enter the e-mail address of the domain you first registered, the password and the domain name you want to edit.

FTP username will usually be, ftp@yourdomain.com or ftp@username.mysw.co.uk

Mail username is normally your full e-mail address.

I need to change my password, or I have forgotten?

Please login to the control panel and change your password from your account management section, otherwise contact our support team.

Is my website secure on your servers?

In general - nothing is totally secure. Please ensure you update your PHP scripts on a regular basis.

We do our best to protect our servers, using some of the latest firewalls and security tools to help prevent attacks.

What about backups, how do they work?

We run general OS and data backups on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. However these are really only to be used in a critical event.

To protect your site further, use the backup system within the Control Panel. You will not personally be able to restore the images without contacting support - but it offers you a simple and quick backup to help ensure your data is kept safe.

Do I have full htaccess support?

No, you can run the basic functions but nothing that will globally affect our server. PHP safe mode is also turned on by default.

What can I NOT host from your server?

You may not under any circumstances upload, viruses, cracks, keygens, serials, trojans, music, porn and teen sex or pictures of sexual nature that include children. NO relation to drugs, abuse, sexual, racism, hacking or self harm and terrorism or pain. Do not consume large amounts of bandwidth that may affect our service. You may also not host any other persons work that may be copyright, or use the webspace to provide hosting for others. You also cannot hack, reverse engineer anything on our servers, we will take every measure to ensure that it is stopped and cannot reoccur. You will not have MP3's, music files that you do not own the copyright to. The general rule is to not abuse the service. Any accounts that do not abide by these regulations will be suspended.
